Patrick Spencer MP Acquitted of Sexual Assault Charges by Southwark Crown Court Jury
Patrick Spencer, the sitting Member of Parliament, has been acquitted of two counts of sexual assault. A jury at Southwark Crown Court returned not guilty verdicts following a trial that concluded today.
The charges against Mr. Spencer related to alleged incidents involving two women in July 2022. During the proceedings, the court heard testimony from both complainants and the defence presented its case, which included Mr. Spencer giving evidence.
Following deliberations, the jury determined there was insufficient evidence to convict Mr. Spencer on either count of sexual assault. This verdict concludes the legal process regarding these allegations against the MP.
