Police Dog Locates Man Behind False Wall on 300-Plant Cannabis Farm in Cardiff
A police operation in Cardiff uncovered a substantial cannabis farm, where a police dog was instrumental in locating a suspect concealed behind a false wall. Albert Hysaj, 34, has subsequently pleaded guilty to producing cannabis at Cardiff Crown Court.
Officers executing a warrant at a commercial premises found a sophisticated cannabis cultivation setup comprising approximately 300 plants. The premises had been adapted to facilitate the illicit operation.
During the search, PC Lewis and his police dog, Bart, were deployed. Bart, a highly trained Belgian Malinois, indicated a particular area, leading officers to discover a hidden partition. Behind this false wall, Hysaj was found attempting to evade detection.
South Wales Police confirmed that Hysaj was arrested at the scene and later charged with cannabis production. The court proceedings concluded with his guilty plea. The incident underscores the continuing efforts of law enforcement to dismantle illicit drug operations, which frequently involve significant resource allocation and advanced concealment methods.
