
Seventeen-Year-Old Charged With Attempted Murder After Stafford Castle Golf Course Stabbing
A 17-year-old, identified as a Bulgarian national, has been charged with attempted murder and theft after a man was stabbed on a public footpath through Stafford Castle golf course in Staffordshire.
The incident occurred on 14 May, leaving the victim, aged in his 60s, with knife injuries. He is currently in hospital, where his condition is described as critical but stable, according to Staffordshire Police.
The suspect, who cannot be named due to legal restrictions, is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Saturday.
A 30-year-old man, previously arrested in connection with the investigation, has been released without further action. Police have cautioned the public against speculation while legal proceedings are ongoing.
