Suspect in Queensland Crocodile Attack Faces Extended Bail Period

Queensland authorities have extended the bail for a 30-year-old man suspected of attempted murder following an alleged crocodile attack. The individual, who has not been publicly named, must return to police in three months' time.

The incident occurred in Lake Placid, a freshwater lake approximately 17km north of Cairns, on 14 March. Police were alerted to reports that a 44-year-old man had sustained severe arm injuries after allegedly being coerced into a crocodile-infested area.

Emergency services transported the injured man to Cairns Hospital, where he received treatment for his wounds.
