Teenager Stabbed Teacher with Kitchen Knife, Victim Believed Death Imminent, Court Hears
Vincent Uzomah, a teacher, recounted to Bradford Crown Court his assailant's words during a stabbing incident: "I'm dying, I'm not going to see my daughter again." Mr Uzomah described being attacked by a 16-year-old pupil with a large kitchen knife, sustaining a wound to the head.
The incident occurred on 11 June, just after Mr Uzomah had given the teenager a detention. He stated that the pupil, whose identity is protected by law, launched a "full force" attack, striking him above his left eye.
Mr Uzomah testified that the teenager then fled the classroom. The court was informed that the knife used in the assault was later discovered by police officers at the scene.
