Tewkesbury MP Cameron Thomas Suspended by Liberal Democrats After Police Arrest
Cameron Thomas, the Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for Tewkesbury, has been suspended by his party pending the outcome of a police investigation. It is understood that Mr Thomas was arrested by Gloucestershire Police on Wednesday.
A Liberal Democrat spokesperson confirmed the suspension, stating, ";Cameron Thomas MP has had the party whip suspended pending the outcome of a police investigation. We are unable to comment further while the police investigation is ongoing.";
Gloucestershire Police and Mr Thomas have not yet provided comment on the situation. The former RAF officer has represented the Tewkesbury constituency since the 2024 general election.
