Texas Floods Claim One Life, Damage Hundreds of Homes in Hill Country
A woman has died in Texas Hill Country as a consequence of severe flooding, with emergency services locating her body following a swiftwater rescue attempt. The deluge has inflicted considerable damage, affecting hundreds of homes and properties, particularly in Llano and Burnet counties.
The current flooding revisits an area that experienced devastating inundation last year. Camp Mystic, a girls' summer camp, was among the locations severely impacted in the prior event, which resulted in over 130 fatalities.
Authorities have confirmed at least one fatality so far. Efforts are ongoing to assess the full extent of the damage to infrastructure and private residences as floodwaters begin to recede.
