Thousands Attend Glasgow Anti-Racism March After Terrorism-Linked Attack
Thousands of people gathered in Glasgow for the 'Reclaim Our Streets' anti-racism demonstration, organised in response to a recent terrorism-linked attack. The march commenced at the Glasgow Central Mosque and concluded at George Square, drawing a broad coalition of support.
The demonstration was prompted by an incident in the city centre where three men sustained serious injuries in what authorities are investigating as a terrorism-linked event. Participants carried banners and placards condemning racism and hate speech, with organisers emphasising the need for unity and a rejection of division within the community.
Among those present were prominent politicians, representatives from trade unions, and various community organisations, all voicing their commitment to a Glasgow free from racial animosity and violence. Speakers at George Square reiterated messages of solidarity and inclusivity, urging continued vigilance against extremist ideologies.
This collective display underscored the city's opposition to acts of terror and discrimination, reinforcing a demand for safety and respect for all residents.
