Three attendees of the Ghana Party in the Park festival in London were taken to hospital on Saturday after two distinct incidents: a crowd surge that led to a crush, and a separate fire.
Metropolitan Police officers were called to Trent Park, Cockfosters, at approximately 17:30 BST due to reports of disorder. The London Ambulance Service confirmed it treated four people at the scene, with three subsequently transported to hospital for further care. Details regarding the nature of their injuries have not been released.
Organisers of the event issued a statement on social media, acknowledging a "difficult" and "deeply upsetting" day. They indicated that an investigation would be launched to ascertain the circumstances leading to the fire and the crowd management issues.
