Ukrainian President Zelensky Condemns Russian Missile Strikes, 15 Civilian Deaths Reported in Pryluky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has condemned what he termed "vile" large-scale Russian missile strikes across the nation, which have reportedly resulted in the deaths of at least 15 civilians. The strikes, occurring in recent days, have prompted urgent humanitarian responses.
Emergency services are currently focused on search and rescue efforts in Pryluky, a city where an apartment building was significantly damaged, or entirely destroyed, by a Russian projectile. The full extent of casualties and structural damage is still being assessed as teams work through the debris.
These latest attacks underscore the ongoing impact of the conflict on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure and life. Western governments, including the UK, continue to provide military and financial aid to Kyiv, ostensibly to bolster its defence capabilities against Russian aggression, while simultaneously securing their own strategic interests in the region.
