102-Year-Old Phillip Ormerod Dies Following Alleged Pub Assault in Lancashire
A 102-year-old man, Phillip Ormerod, has died after an alleged assault at the Hare and Hounds pub in Todmorden, Lancashire. Mr Ormerod was transported to hospital in a critical condition on 25 May and subsequently died.
Lancashire Police have confirmed the commencement of a murder investigation. Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
A 39-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The police investigation is ongoing as officers work to establish the full circumstances surrounding Mr Ormerod's death.
