
14-Year-Old Boy Charged with Murder of Jamal Coombes in Battersea Stabbing
A 14-year-old boy has been formally charged with the murder of Jamal Coombes, a 17-year-old who died from stab wounds in Battersea, south-west London.
Emergency services discovered Mr Coombes with fatal injuries on Glycena Road at approximately 04:20 BST on Saturday. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the 14-year-old suspect is scheduled to appear at Highbury Corner Youth Court, where he will be charged with murder and possession of a bladed article.
Two other teenagers, a boy and a girl both aged 15, who were apprehended on suspicion of murder, have since been released on bail. A third 15-year-old boy, also arrested in connection with the murder, remains in police custody.
