Aderahman Boumzough Receives 35-Year Sentence for Rene Graham Murder in Park
Aderahman Boumzough has been handed a 35-year prison sentence for the murder of Rene Graham, 16, and the attempted murder of a 17-year-old boy in a public park. The incident, which occurred in Sydenham, south-east London, involved Boumzough, 20, approaching the victims and discharging a firearm at close range.
The Old Bailey heard that Rene Graham sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head, while the second victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury to the leg. Emergency services attended the scene, but Rene Graham was pronounced dead a short time later.
Detectives established that the shooting was a targeted attack, although the specific motive was not detailed in court. Boumzough was apprehended following an investigation involving forensic analysis and witness statements. The court found him guilty of both murder and attempted murder, leading to the substantial custodial sentence.
