
Armadale Shooting: Man Charged with Murder of Billy Watson in West Lothian
A 20-year-old man has been charged with murder following a shooting in Armadale, West Lothian, which resulted in the death of Billy Watson, 38.
Jamie Johnstone appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court on Monday, 25 March, facing charges of murder, assault, and possession of a firearm. He made no plea and was remanded in custody. Further court dates are anticipated.
Police Scotland confirmed officers were called to a property on Bathgate Road, Armadale, during the morning of Saturday, 23 March. Mr Watson was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 23-year-old woman was also arrested in connection with the incident; however, she was subsequently released without charge. Police enquiries into the circumstances surrounding Mr Watson's death remain ongoing.
