
Glasgow Police Investigate Double Murder After Paul Lafferty, Gary Beaton Found Dead
Police Scotland have launched a double murder investigation after the bodies of two men, Paul Lafferty, 53, and Gary Beaton, 56, were discovered at a flat on Chancellor Street in Patrick, Glasgow. The discovery was made on Sunday, 23 June.
Detectives confirmed the incident is being treated as murder following post-mortem examinations. Officers are now appealing to the public for information, focusing on the movements of a specific vehicle.
Authorities are particularly interested in sightings of a grey Ford Focus, registration mark SP63 NWR. The vehicle was observed in the Chancellor Street area between Friday, 21 June, and Sunday, 23 June. Police believe the car may have been involved in a hit-and-run incident in the Kelso Street area of Yoker at approximately 10:40 on Saturday, 22 June, before being found burnt out in Lennox Gardens, Glasgow, around 11:30 on Sunday, 23 June.
Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Graham and other personnel have stated that extensive inquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances.
