
Kirandeep Kaur Killed While Asleep with Baby in East London Home
Kirandeep Kaur, a 26-year-old woman, was killed in her home in separate beds in east London, in the early hours of Sunday morning. Reports indicate she was asleep with her baby and husband when the incident occurred. Her family in India has described their devastation, with her sister, Rupinder Kaur, stating that Kirandeep 'was my world'.
Metropolitan Police officers and paramedics attended the scene at Oaks Drive in Newbury Park after calls at approximately 04:30 BST. Despite their efforts, Ms Kaur was pronounced dead at the scene. Miraculously, her baby, who was in the bed with her at the time of the attack, was found unharmed. Ms Kaur's husband also sustained injuries, but these are not considered life-threatening.
A 29-year-old man was arrested at the location on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody, with detectives continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event. The community has expressed shock over the incident, which has left a young family shattered and brought renewed scrutiny to domestic safety in the capital.
