
Man Arrested for Clapham Shooting Death on Willington Road
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a fatal shooting in Clapham, south London. Police and paramedics were dispatched to Willington Road on Monday evening where a man, identified as a 20-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene. He had sustained a gunshot wound.
Metropolitan Police officers were called shortly before 23:00 GMT on 15 April. A 23-year-old man was subsequently arrested on Tuesday and remains in police custody.
Formal identification of the deceased is yet to take place, though his next of kin have been informed of the fatality. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.
The Metropolitan Police's investigation into the incident is ongoing. Authorities are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
