Jed Grieve, 33, of Orpington Avenue, Walker, along with two boys, 14 and 16, who are legally unnamed, have been charged with murder. They are scheduled to appear before Newcastle Magistrates' Court on Monday.
Northumbria Police responded to reports of an assault on Shields Road in Byker at 19:25 BST on Tuesday. Emergency services located Gino Robb with severe knife injuries; he died shortly after being transported to hospital.
Three other individuals previously arrested on suspicion of murder—two men, aged 22 and 24, and a 16-year-old boy—have been released on bail while inquiries continue. A 40-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, has also been released on bail.
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Atherton confirmed that police presence remains in the Byker and Walker areas. Authorities continue to seek information regarding two individuals on an electric motorbike believed to have entered Shields Road from Grace Street shortly before the incident, then returning to the Grace Street area.
