Range Rover Unveils First Electric Model Built at Solihull West Midlands Plant

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has initiated pre-production for its first fully electric Range Rover model, with manufacturing operations centred at its Solihull plant in the West Midlands. The new electric vehicle is set to undergo a rigorous testing programme globally, enduring extreme temperatures from -50C to a searing 50C.

This strategic move places the British marque in direct competition with luxury electric vehicle offerings from manufacturers such as Bentley and Rolls-Royce, which have already committed to electric transitions. Orders for the new electric Range Rover are slated to open later in 2024.
