Sarah Kellen Details Dinner at Buckingham Palace with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Epstein
Sarah Kellen, a woman subjected to sexual and psychological abuse by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein for over a decade, informed the US House Oversight Committee that she had dinner with Epstein in Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's private apartments at Buckingham Palace. Kellen also stated they attended Princess Beatrice's 18th birthday celebration at Windsor Castle in 2006. This marks the first public testimony from an Epstein victim detailing presence at royal residences.
Mountbatten-Windsor Denials and Wider Investigation
Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, whose royal duties ceased following allegations related to his association with Epstein, has consistently and strenuously denied any wrongdoing. Kellen clarified to the committee that she did not witness any inappropriate conduct from Mountbatten-Windsor. Her testimony forms part of a congressional investigation into Epstein, who died in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
Kellen, who has received compensation from Epstein's Estate as a named victim, also alleged sexual abuse by three of Epstein's associates, including Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking. Kellen criticised Maxwell, suggesting she significantly influenced Epstein's lifestyle and facilitated his acquisition of assets such as private planes and his New York townhouse.
Arranging Meetings for Sarah Ferguson
The testimony further revealed that Kellen potentially organised meetings for Sarah Ferguson, Mountbatten-Windsor's former wife, at Epstein's Palm Beach office and house in Florida. These meetings allegedly occurred in 2008 while Epstein was on work release from prison, serving a sentence for soliciting sex from a minor. Despite being named as a possible co-conspirator in Epstein's plea deal, Kellen stated she was unaware of this designation until it became public, and no law enforcement official ever questioned her about it.
Buckingham Palace, when approached, referred to a statement from last October affirming the King and Queen's sympathies with victims and survivors of abuse. Separately, Thames Valley Police are assessing an allegation from another woman concerning an encounter with Mountbatten-Windsor at Royal Lodge in 2010, followed by an invitation to Buckingham Palace.
