Second Man Admits Raping Stockport Woman Drugged by Husband Over Two Decades
A second man has admitted raping a woman in Stockport, Greater Manchester, who was regularly drugged by her husband before being subjected to sexual abuse by him and others. The guilty plea by Jason Kelly, 46, comes as part of a wider investigation into a sustained pattern of abuse spanning two decades at the couple's family home.
The victim's husband, Ian Broadhurst, 67, is accused of inviting up to 13 other men to abuse her after administering sedatives. He has already pleaded guilty to multiple charges of rape and administering a substance to stupefy his wife.
Kelly, of Shaw Heath, Stockport, entered his plea at Manchester Crown Court. He is the second man, following Mark Pearson who admitted his involvement last month, to confess to raping the woman. Both men have been remanded in custody and are due to be sentenced alongside Broadhurst at a later date, with proceedings expected in July. The ongoing case continues to unravel the extent of the organised sexual violence perpetrated against the victim.
