Suffolk Police Question Steve Wright Regarding Multiple Unsolved Cold Cases

Steve Wright, the 68-year-old serial killer currently serving a whole-life sentence, has been questioned by Suffolk Police about a number of unsolved cold cases. Detectives from Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies visited Wright in prison to interview him.

Wright was convicted in 2008 for the murders of five women in Ipswich. Despite these interviews, police have stated that Wright is not currently considered a suspect in any of the cold cases under review. The investigations into these unsolved crimes remain active and ongoing.

A police spokesperson clarified that periodic reviews of historical cases are standard procedure. They added that it is customary to consider individuals with a history of similar offending as part of these reviews, especially when new information or investigative techniques emerge.
