Uganda Confirms Invictus Games Participation After King Charles III Intervention

Uganda has confirmed its participation in the Invictus Games, reversing an earlier decision to withdraw. This change followed direct engagement from Buckingham Palace, including a reported call from King Charles III to Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.

The Ugandan team had initially cited financial constraints as the reason for their withdrawal from the international adaptive sports competition for wounded, injured, and sick service personnel and veterans.

The Invictus Games Foundation welcomed Uganda's renewed commitment, stating that all 22 participating nations are now confirmed for the event. The Games are scheduled to commence in Düsseldorf, Germany, this Saturday.
