
Woman Dies After Fatal Dog Attack in Wolverhampton
A woman has succumbed to her injuries after being attacked by two dogs at a property in the Bilston area of Wolverhampton. Emergency services were called to Willis Pearson Avenue at approximately 23:30 BST on Wednesday following reports of a woman in her 70s sustaining serious injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The two dogs involved were humanely destroyed following the incident. Authorities confirmed the animals continued to display aggression towards emergency personnel. Initial assessments suggest the dogs are not of a breed proscribed under current legislation.
A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control, resulting in death. He was also treated for hand injuries he sustained. Police are conducting extensive inquiries to determine the full circumstances surrounding this tragic event and to gather further information regarding the two dogs involved.
