
Woman Killed, Teenage Boy Injured After Car Strikes Bus Stop in Orpington
A woman, aged in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene following a collision where a car struck pedestrians at a bus stop in Orpington, south-east London. Emergency services were called to Sevenoaks Road at approximately 14:15 BST on Wednesday. A teenage boy was also injured in the incident and received treatment from paramedics.
Metropolitan Police officers apprehended a man at the location on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He is currently in custody as enquiries continue. The road was closed for several hours as specialist teams conducted their investigation.
