
Cheshire Family 'Crushed' by Deaths of Mother and Two Daughters in House Fire
A Cheshire family has conveyed their profound distress following the deaths of a mother and her two young daughters in a house fire in Winsford. The victims were identified as Gina Ingles, aged 34, and her children, three-year-old Esme and four-year-old Lily. The incident prompted a murder investigation by Cheshire Constabulary.
Emergency services responded to the blaze on Platt Avenue at approximately 2:45 BST on Saturday. All three individuals were extricated from the property and immediately transported to hospital. Despite efforts by medical personnel, they succumbed to their injuries.
In a statement, the family described their "emptiness" and spoke of the devastating impact of the loss, particularly of "our beautiful Gina and our two precious little girls, Lily and Esme." They emphasised the bond shared by Gina and her children, noting that they were "always an inseparable trio."
A 24-year-old man was apprehended on suspicion of murder in connection with the fire. He has since been released on conditional bail. Authorities have confirmed that the suspect and Gina Ingles were known to each other. The police investigation into the circumstances of the fire and the deaths is ongoing.
