Creamfields Security Uncovers Cache of Illicit Drugs Buried on Festival Grounds

Security teams conducting pre-festival sweeps at the Creamfields site in Daresbury, Cheshire, have uncovered a significant cache of illegal narcotics. The discovery, made ahead of the annual music festival, included quantities of MDMA (ecstasy), ketamine, cocaine, and cannabis, along with nitrous oxide canisters.

The drugs were found interred across the expansive festival grounds. Cheshire Police stated that while they will not be returning the seized controlled substances, individuals who buried rucksacks or holdalls containing these items can contact them to retrieve their bags.

Superintendent Sarah Heath, Commander for Creamfields, reiterated warnings against attempting to bring illegal substances into the festival. She highlighted the presence of drug dogs and comprehensive search protocols at entry points, emphasising that those found in possession of drugs face arrest and potential prosecution.

Authorities have consistently warned against the dangers associated with illicit drug use, particularly in unregulated environments such as festivals. The force maintains a proactive stance on drug interdiction to ensure public safety and adherence to drug laws.
