Gloucester Police Arrest Two Adults After 17-Year-Old Injured in Sword Attack
Gloucestershire Constabulary has apprehended two adults following a violent incident in Gloucester on Friday, where a 17-year-old boy sustained injuries believed to have been inflicted by a sword. The arrests took place on Friday evening after the teenager was hospitalised with a significant wound.
Police were called to the scene at approximately 16:20 BST on Friday, 12th April, responding to reports of a serious assault on Nettleton Road, close to the junction with Reservoir Road. Officers located the injured teenager, who was then transported to Bristol's Southmead Hospital for treatment.
A 37-year-old man from Gloucester was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. Separately, a 30-year-old woman, also from Gloucester, was taken into custody on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Investigators have confirmed that all parties involved are known to each other, indicating a contained incident rather than a random act of violence. Both arrested individuals remain in police custody as enquiries continue into the full details surrounding the attack.
