Nearly One Million Young Britons Remain Out of Work or Education Ahead of Review

New data reveals that 937,000 young people in the United Kingdom, specifically those between the ages of 16 and 24, are presently without education, employment, or training. This translates to one in eight individuals within this age bracket, a persistent concern as the government prepares a substantial review of youth prospects.

Analysis indicates a slight increase of 39,000 individuals in this category over the past year. Furthermore, the number of young people aged 16-18 who are not in education, employment, or training has risen by 11,000 to 76,000, marking the highest figure for this younger group since 2012.

The government's review, expected to be published later this year, aims to address the long-term challenges faced by this segment of the population.
