Odesa Flat Suffers Direct Russian Missile Hit, Ukrainian Tennis Player Dayana Yastremska Reports
Ukrainian tennis professional Dayana Yastremska has reported that her flat in Odesa was directly struck by a Russian missile. Yastremska posted images depicting extensive damage, asserting that the only item to survive the impact was a Roland Garros towel.
The incident underscores the continuing peril to civilian residences in Ukrainian cities, as military actions persist. Odesa, a strategic port on the Black Sea, has been a frequent target of missile and drone attacks since the full-scale invasion commenced.
Yastremska, who reached the Australian Open semi-finals earlier this year, stated her parents were not in the flat at the time of the strike. She conveyed her emotional distress, describing the destruction of her home as a deeply unsettling experience.
