
Tooting Jewellery Shop Tunnel Plot: Three Men Plead Guilty to Burglary Conspiracy
Three men have pleaded guilty at Kingston Crown Court to charges of conspiring to commit burglary. The charges relate to a sophisticated attempt to tunnel into a jewellery shop located in Tooting, south London.
The individuals involved are identified as James Cavill, 35, of Meadow Road, Southall; Kevin Roach, 39, of South Road, Southall; and Nicholas Cavill, 34, also of South Road, Southall. Their pleas were entered during recent court proceedings.
The Metropolitan Police investigation detailed how the group sought to gain entry to the commercial premises by excavating a tunnel. Further details regarding the planned operation and the timeline of their activities are expected to emerge during sentencing.
All three defendants have been remanded in custody. They are scheduled to reappear before the court for sentencing at a later date, which has yet to be publicly announced.
