Alex Jenkinson Charged After Allegedly Threatening Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor Near Norfolk Home
A man has been charged following an alleged threat against Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor near his Sandringham Estate home in Norfolk. Police arrested Alex Jenkinson, 39, of Stowmarket, Suffolk, on Wednesday evening in Wolferton after reports of intimidating behaviour.
Jenkinson has been charged with two counts of using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour to harass or cause alarm and distress, alongside failing to provide a blood specimen in custody. He is scheduled to appear at Norwich Magistrates' Court on Friday.
Reports suggest Mountbatten-Windsor, while walking his dogs, was confronted by a balaclava-clad individual and sought refuge in his vehicle with security. The incident occurred near Marsh Farm, his current residence on the Sandringham Estate, which he occupied after vacating Royal Lodge in Windsor.
Mountbatten-Windsor's relocation followed public scrutiny of his association with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, an involvement that also led to the revocation of his princely status and dukedom late last year. He has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
