Fatal Collision: Police Vehicle and Car Crash Kills Multiple Patients Near Middlesbrough

A collision involving a police vehicle and another car has resulted in multiple fatalities near Middlesbrough. Emergency services confirmed that several patients died at the scene on the A174, close to the Staithes turn-off.

The North East Ambulance Service dispatched a substantial response, including three ambulance crews, a specialist paramedic, and a clinical team leader. Despite their efforts, a number of those involved could not be saved.

Cleveland Police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident, which occurred on a primary route connecting coastal towns to larger urban centres in the region.
