Finsbury Park Burglary: Man Charged Over Death of 75-Year-Old Rose Smith

A 31-year-old man, Vasile Marcu, has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of 75-year-old Rose Smith in Finsbury Park, north London. Ms Smith passed away in hospital on 17 June, the day after a suspected burglary at her residence on Grosvenor Gardens.

Mr Marcu, of no fixed address, is also charged with burglary and fraud. He is scheduled to appear at Highbury Magistrates' Court on 20 June.

A second man, aged 28, was also arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of burglary. He has since been released on bail as police investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding Ms Smith's death.
