West Ham Co-Chairman David Sullivan Resigns Following Historic Allegations Disclosure
David Sullivan has resigned from his positions as joint chairman and director of West Ham United. The club confirmed his immediate departure, stating the move comes after they were 'made aware of the impending publication of serious historic allegations'.
Sullivan, 75, had held the role of joint chairman since 2010 when he acquired the East London club alongside David Gold. He became sole chairman following Gold's passing in January 2023.
His tenure at West Ham has been marked by a period of significant change, including the club's controversial relocation from Upton Park to the London Stadium in 2016. Recent successes include the team's victory in the UEFA Europa Conference League last year. The club has not provided further details regarding the nature of the allegations.
