Andrew Tate Lawyers Deny Supercar Ownership, Dispute Flight Risk Claims

Legal representatives for Andrew and Tristan Tate have challenged the evidential value of social media imagery used by prosecutors, which purportedly showed Andrew Tate in possession of numerous supercars. The defence argued that many of these vehicles were either rented or borrowed, not owned by Mr Tate, aiming to counter claims that the brothers possess significant assets that could facilitate their evasion of justice.

Bail Rejection and Asset Seizure

The Bucharest Court of Appeal recently rejected the Tate brothers' request for bail, upholding an earlier decision. Prosecutors had maintained that the brothers, currently under house arrest, pose a substantial flight risk, citing their financial means and international connections. Authorities have seized assets valued at an estimated €3.6 million, including luxury cars, watches, and properties, as part of their ongoing investigation into alleged human trafficking, rape, and organised crime offences. The brothers deny all allegations.

Andrew Tate, a former kickboxer and online personality, has gained notoriety for his misogynistic views and substantial social media following. His legal team continues to contest the validity of the charges and the basis for his continued detention, emphasising the lack of concrete evidence to support the prosecution's assertions regarding flight risk and asset ownership.
